This Privacy Policy explains how and why the Company collects, uses, discloses or otherwise processes your information, including personal information, through our websites or applications (collectively, the “Services”), as well as offline when you interact with us (such as through written or verbal communications between you and the Company). It also describes the policies and practices we have in place with respect to the retention and protection of your personal information and the choices and rights available to you regarding your personal information. We may supplement this Privacy Policy with additional information relating to a particular service, product or transaction with you, such as the privacy policy for software that may accompany our products. 1. Personal information we collect about you

Website Analytics Information.
We use Google Analytics to ensure website functionality and improve our websites. This software may record information such as your IP address, location, date of birth and gender, browser type and language, operating system, access time, duration of visit, pages you view within our website, search terms you enter, and other actions you take while visiting us, the pages you view immediately before and after you access our website, how often you use our website, aggregated usage and performance data, application errors, and debugging information. 3. Why we collect your personal information
The particular reason for our collection or use of your information depends on how and why you use our Services or are otherwise interacting with us. 4. How we sell, share or disclose your personal information
When we disclose your personal information, we require that our contractors, business partners, and service providers use the information only in accordance with the terms of this Privacy Policy. The following describes our policies with respect to the disclosing or sharing of your personal information with others.
Sale or Sharing of Personal Information. For purposes of this Privacy Policy:
- “Sell,” “selling,” “sale,” or “sold,’’ means selling, renting, releasing, disclosing, disseminating, making available, transferring, or otherwise communicating orally, in writing, or by electronic or other means, a consumer’s personal information by the business to a third party for monetary or other valuable consideration.
- “Share,” “shared,” or “sharing” means sharing, renting, releasing, disclosing, disseminating, making available, transferring, or otherwise communicating orally, in writing, or by electronic or other means, a consumer’s personal information by the business to a third party for cross-context behavioral advertising, whether or not for monetary or other valuable consideration, including transactions between a business and a third party for cross-context behavioral advertising for the benefit of a business in which no money is exchanged.
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act of 2020 (“CPRA”), the disclosure of data received by our third-party advertising, social media and analytics partners may be considered a sale of personal information. We engage such companies, including Google and Facebook, for advertising and data analytics. We also allow certain entities to place cookies on our websites and applications to collect information about your interaction with such websites and applications to which such companies have access. We may also disclose personal information to third parties for targeted advertising and customized advertising, which constitutes sharing of personal information under the CPRA.

Disclosure of Personal Information to Service Providers and Certain Others. We may disclose, transfer or make available personal information to the following entities: our parent company, affiliates, subsidiaries or divisions (“Affiliates”) and individual colleagues (“Employees”); service providers; trusted business partners; our professional advisors, including lawyers, insurers, accountants and auditors (“Advisors”); and official government bodies, such as government agencies, local authorities, regulators and the police (“Official Government Bodies”) for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, as otherwise authorized or consented to by you, or as otherwise permitted or required by applicable law.
We may disclose or transfer your personal information to these entities for various business purposes, including:
- To Provide Services on Our Behalf: We may disclose or transfer personal information to service providers who need your information to provide services to us, such as processing or fulfilling orders, processing payments, maintaining our computer systems, providing security or fraud detection services, providing analytic services, providing advertising services and administering marketing and advertising campaigns, or providing similar services on our behalf. They are provided only the information necessary to perform the services. In addition, we require, among other things, that they use and disclose the information only for the purpose for which we disclose or transfer it to them and maintain adequate privacy protections and security standards in accordance with applicable law and consistent with the terms of this Privacy Policy.
- To Perform Job Function: We may disclose personal information to, or allow access to personal information by, our Employees who need it to do their job functions, such as fulfilling orders and processing payments, and providing customer service or warranty support.
- To Obtain Professional Advice: We may disclose personal information as necessary to our Advisors for the purposes of managing risks, obtaining professional advice, exercising legal rights or defending against legal claims, etc.
- Security and Fraud Detection: We may disclose personal information as necessary for our security and fraud detection services including detecting and investigating security incidents, protecting against malicious, deceptive, fraudulent, or illegal activity; and prosecuting those responsible for that activity.
- Functionality & Debugging: We may disclose personal information as necessary to engage in debugging to identify and repair errors that impair existing intended functionality.
- Advertising and Marketing Services: We may disclose personal information to provide advertising or marketing services on our own behalf.
- Quality Control & Improvement of Products and Services: We disclose personal information to verify, maintain, and improve our products and services.
- Legal Compliance: Where it is required or permitted by applicable law, we may provide your personal information to Official Government Bodies including (a) to comply with any legal process; (b) to respond to their requests; (c) to enforce our terms and conditions; (d) to protect our operations and protect our rights, privacy, safety or property, and/or that of you or others; and (e) to allow us to pursue available remedies or limit the damages that we may sustain.

In addition, we may disclose your personal information for the following purposes:
- In Connection with a Reorganization or Similar Business Transaction: We may also disclose personal information in connection with or during negotiation or on completion of any reorganization, acquisition, merger, sale, joint venture, assignment, transfer or other disposition of all or any portion of our business, assets, or stock (including in connection with any bankruptcy or similar proceedings).
- Other Business Purposes: We may disclose personal information for other business purposes described above in the section entitled “WHY WE COLLECT YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION”.
Sensitive Personal Information. We only use and disclose sensitive personal information for purposes disclosed herein. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes other than those authorized purposes, without your express consent, unless otherwise permitted or required by applicable law.
Cross Border Transfers. Because we operate as part of a global business, the recipients of your information may be located outside the jurisdiction in which you are located. As such, when your personal information is used or stored outside of your jurisdiction, government or regulatory agencies, courts and law enforcement of that country may be able to obtain access to your personal information in accordance with the laws of that country. The transfer of your information will be subject to the reasonable security measures described below under “HOW WE PROTECT YOUR INFORMATION”.
Disclosure of Aggregated and/or De-Identified Information. We may aggregate, de-identify and/or anonymize your personal information, in accordance with applicable law, so that it can no longer be linked to you. Subject to applicable laws, we may use and disclose aggregated, de-identified or anonymous information for any purpose at our sole discretion.
5. How we protect your information
We will not use your personal information for any purpose other than the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, or as otherwise permitted or required by applicable law. We use reasonable security measures, including physical, administrative, and technical safeguards to help us protect your information from loss or theft, and from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, copying or modification. These measures may include encryption, security certificates, access controls, information security technologies, policies, procedures, employee privacy and data security training, privacy impact assessments, and other information security measures to help protect your information. We also use contractual provisions and other measures to require our suppliers and service providers to whom we transfer or disclose personal information to, among other things, maintain appropriate security safeguards to protect such information from unauthorized access, use and disclosure.
6. How long we keep your personal information
We will retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which we collected it or as otherwise required by applicable law. To determine the appropriate retention period for personal information, we consider the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the personal information, the potential risk of harm from unauthorized use or disclosure of your personal information, the purposes for which we process your personal information and whether we can achieve those purposes through other means, and the applicable legal requirements. If we no longer require your personal information for these purposes, we will delete, destroy or anonymize it in accordance with applicable law, unless we are required by law to keep it for a longer period.
7. Your rights if you are a California resident
If you are a resident of California, your right to submit certain requests relating to your personal information is described below. Please note that these rights are subject to certain exceptions and certain of these rights are subject to verification mechanisms. You may designate an authorized agent to make the requests below on your behalf; however, you will still need to verify your identity directly with us before your request can be processed.
Rights to Know, Correct and Delete
Right to Know Personal Information Collected About You
You have the right to know: (1) the categories of personal information we have collected about you; (2) the categories of sources from which the personal information is collected; (3) the business or commercial purpose for collecting, selling, or sharing personal information; (4) the categories of third parties to whom we disclose personal information; and (5) the specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you. You also have the right to know the list of all third parties to whom we have disclosed personal information, as defined under California Civil Code Section 1798.83(e) (a/k/a the “Shine the Light Law”), during the preceding year for third-party direct marketing purposes.
Right to Know Personal Information Disclosed or Shared
You have the right to request that we tell to you: (1) the categories of personal information that we collected about you; (2) the categories of personal information that we sold or shared about you and the categories of third parties to whom the personal information was sold or shared, by category or categories of personal information for each category of third parties to whom the personal information was sold or shared; and (3) the categories of personal information that we disclosed about you for a business purpose and the categories of persons to whom it was disclosed for a business purpose.
Right to Correct Inaccurate Information
You also have the right to request that we correct your personal information collected or maintained by us. If you believe that any of the personal information we maintain about you is inaccurate, you have the right to submit a request for us to correct that information. Upon receipt of a request, we will use commercially reasonable efforts to correct the information as you direct.
Right to Request Deletion of Your Personal Information
You also have the right to request that we delete your personal information collected or maintained by us. We will let you know what, if any, personal information we can delete from our records, and we will direct any service providers that may have collected personal information about you to delete your personal information from their records. There may be circumstances where we cannot delete your personal information or direct service providers to delete your personal information from their records. For example, if we need to: (1) retain your personal information to complete a transaction or provide services; (2) detect security incidents; (3) protect against unlawful activities; (4) identify, debug or repair errors; or (5) comply with a legal obligation.
Exercising Rights to Know, Correct and Delete, and Related Verification Measures1
You may submit a request regarding your rights to know, correct and/or delete by contact us by email at privacy@hamiltonbeach.com or by submitting our customer service form, or by phone at (800) 992-4616.
When you make a request to know, delete and/or correct, to help protect your privacy and maintain security, we will take steps to verify your identity. Our verification procedure may differ depending on whether you have an account with us or not and the request you are making. The following generally describes the verification processes we use:
- Password Protected Accounts. If you have a password-protected account with us, we may use existing authentication practices to verify your identity but will require re-authentication before disclosing, correcting or deleting data. If we suspect fraudulent or malicious activity relating to your account, we will require further verification (as described below) before complying with a request to know or delete.
- Verification for Non-Accountholders. If you do not have, or cannot access, a password-protected account with us, we will generally verify your identity as follows:
- For requests to know categories of personal information, we will verify your identity to a reasonable degree of certainty by matching at least two data points provided by you with reliable data points maintained by us.
- For requests to know specific pieces of personal information, we will verify your identity to a reasonably high degree of certainty by matching at least three data points provided by you with reliable data points maintained by us. We will also require a declaration, signed under penalty of perjury, that the person requesting the information is the person whose information is the subject of the request or that person’s authorized representative. We will maintain all signed declarations as part of our records.
- For requests to correct or delete Personal Information, we will verify your identity to a reasonable degree or a reasonably high degree of certainty depending on the sensitivity of the personal information and the risk of harm posed by unauthorized deletion. We will act in good faith when determining the appropriate standard to apply.
If there is no reasonable method by which we can verify your identity, we will state so in response, including an explanation of why we have no reasonable method to verify your identity.
If you use an authorized agent to submit a request to know, delete or correct, we may require the authorized agent to provide proof that you gave the agent signed permission to submit the request. We may also require you to do either of the following: (a) verify your own identity directly with us; or (b) directly confirm with us that you provided the authorized agent permission to submit the request. This requirement does not apply if you have provided the authorized agent with power of attorney pursuant to California Probate Code sections 4121 to 4130.
We will respond to requests to know, requests to delete and / or delete no later than 45 calendar days. If we cannot verify your request within 45 days, we may deny your request. If necessary, we may take up to an additional 45 days to respond to your request but in such an event will provide you a notice and an explanation of the reason that we will take more than 45 days to respond to your request.
Right to Opt-Out of the Sale or Sharing of Your Personal Information.
You may opt-out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, described above, by submitting our customer service form. You can also exercise your right to opt-out by using a browser that supports an opt-out preference signal (also known as a Global Privacy Control (GPC)). If you choose to use this signal, you will need to turn it on for each browser you use.
The Company does not sell or share personal information about California consumers if we have actual knowledge that the consumer is younger than 16 years old.
Right to Limit the Use of Your Sensitive Personal Information.
Under the CPRA, California residents have the right to limit the use of sensitive personal information under certain circumstances. We only use your sensitive personal information for the following purposes: (i) to that use which is necessary to perform the services or provide the goods reasonably expected by you; (ii) to help to ensure security and integrity; (iii) to perform services on our behalf; (iv) to undertake activities to verify or maintain the quality or safety of a service or device that is owned, manufactured, manufactured for, or controlled by us; and (v) to improve, upgrade, or enhance the service or device that is owned, manufactured, manufactured for, or controlled by us. Given the nature of our use of your sensitive personal information, you do not have the right to request that we limit the use of your sensitive personal information.
Right to Non-Discrimination for the Exercise of Your Privacy Rights
If you choose to exercise any of the privacy rights conferred by the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act of 2020, you also have the right not to receive discriminatory treatment by us. This means that, consistent with California law, we will not deny providing our services to you, charge you different prices or provide a different level or quality of service to you unless those differences are related to the value of your personal information.
8. Your rights if you are a resident of a state other than California
Depending on your state of residency, you may have certain rights related to your personal information. California residents should refer to the “YOUR RIGHTS IF YOU ARE A CALIFORNIA RESIDENT” SECTION ABOVE AND FOR A DESCRIPTION OF CALIFORNIA SPECIFIC RIGHTS AND NEVADA RESIDENTS SHOULD REFER TO THE “NEVADA PRIVACY NOTICE” BELOW.
If you are a resident of Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Virginia, Texas, Oregon, Florida, or Montana (except as noted below), you may have, or may soon have, certain additional rights set forth below. The rights of the residents of the states of Colorado, Connecticut, Utah and Virginia are currently in effect. The rights of the residents of the states of Florida, Oregon and Texas go into effect on July 1, 2024, and the rights of the residents of the state of Montana go into effect on October 1, 2024.
Please note that these rights are subject to certain exceptions and certain of these rights are subject to verification mechanisms.
The Right to Know: You have the right to know whether we are processing your personal information, and, if you are a resident of Oregon, the categories of your personal information we have processed and the specific third parties to which we have disclosed it.
The Right of Access: You have the right to access your personal information, and to obtain a copy of it in a readily usable format, if feasible.
The Right to Correct Inaccuracies: You may request that inaccuracies in your personal information be corrected. Utah law does not provide for this right.
The Right to Delete: You have the right to request that your personal information be deleted, except in cases where retention is required by law or contractual obligation.
The Right to Data Portability: You have the right to obtain a copy of your data in a portable and, if feasible, readily usable format.
The Right to Opt-Out: You may elect to prevent your personal information from being:
- Used in targeted advertising;
- Sold; or
- *Used for profiling purposes that may produce legal or similarly significant effects.
* Utah law does not provide for this right.
The Right to Non-Discrimination for Exercising Your Rights: If you choose to exercise any of your rights, you have the right to not receive discriminatory treatment by us.
Rights Regarding Sensitive Personal Information: In connection with your sensitive personal information: (a) if you are a resident of Utah or Oregon, we will not process that information without first presenting you with clear notice and an opportunity to opt out of the processing; and (b) if you are a resident of Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Montana, Texas or Virginia, we will not process sensitive personal information without obtaining your consent. You have the right to withdraw your previous consent and opt out of further processing of your sensitive personal information.
Furthermore, if we have actual knowledge that you are 13 years of age and not older than 16 years of age, we will not without your consent process your personal information for the purposes of targeted advertising, profiling in furtherance of decisions that produce legal effects or effects of similar significance or selling your personal information.

When you make a request, to help protect your privacy and maintain security, we will take steps to verify your identity. Our verification procedure may differ depending on whether you have an account with us or not and the request you are making. These are described above in “Exercising Rights to Know, Correct and Delete, and Related Verification Measures”.

9. Nevada Privacy Notice
Nevada law provides that Nevada residents may opt-out of the “sale” of “covered information” to third parties, including but not limited to name, address, social security number, and online service activity. Our uses of your personal information are not sales under Nevada law, so no opt-out is required.
10. Personal information of Mexican residents
Under Mexican privacy laws (“Mexican Privacy Laws”), the Company is a controller of information that the Company receives. 14. Information from children
